Things To Do
We are situated just on the gateway to the Jurassic cost, making it an ideal location to explore the many things it has to offer. Very popular with hikers, ramblers, cyclists and off road bikers there are plenty of routes to chose from all along the coast line.
There is so much to see and do especially if you love being outdoors, not least of which are; Farmer Palmers (Sandford), Durlston Country Park (Swanage), Putlake Farm (Langton Matravers), Corfe Castle, the Blue Pool (Furzebrook), the Fossil Museum (Kimmeridge), Monkey World and the Tank Museum (Bovington), Tyneham with the walk down to Worbarrow bay.
If you fancy a trip back in time you can hop on the Swanage Railway and enjoy the purbeck countyside from the beautifully restored steam locomotive which runs from Norden just outside Wareham to Swanage station.
